Indian Premier League
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a cricket league sponsored by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The IPL will be a franchise based league for cricket modeled much similar to the English Premier League. The IPL is officially recognized by the ICC.
The inaugural tournament of the IPL starts on April 18, 2008. It will feature eight teams and world’s best cricketers are playing for these teams.
